SPECIAL EVENTS

 

5TH ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE AND FUNDRAISER
Saturday, February 20, 2010  -  8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The Museum will celebrate its 5th anniversary with an all-day Open House on
Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010.  Come and see the many additions to the museum, and
meet others who are interested in St. Cloud history.  Donations or loans of
historic items are always welcome. 

Book signings:
   *Greg Dawson, consumer affairs columnist for the Orlando Sentinel, will sign 
    copies of his book, Hiding in the Spotlight, the story of his mother's survival 
    of the holocaust.

   *Paula Stark, publisher of the Osceola Gazette, will sign copies of her 
     children's book, Abraham the Alligator, which brings to life the history
     of Abraham Lincoln.

A Rummage and Bake Sale to raise funds for the Museum will be held in the
Woman's Club building adjacent to the Museum.  Items for sale will include 
baked goods, books, toys, used clothes, and other items donated by members
of the Woman's Club.


MUSEUM FUNDRAISER - BINGO AT THE AMERICAN LEGION
Saturday, March 6, 2010  -  6:00-10:00 p.m.
Bingo players are encouraged to participate in this event, held at the
American Legion Bingo Hall on Pennsylvania Ave.  Thanks to the
generosity of the American Legion, 50% of the proceeds will go to
the St. Cloud Heritage Museum.
